I thought it was worth putting together a clear overview of what I actually do at RF3 Design. It covers more ground than people sometimes realise!

1. The big one is product development, from initial concept through to manufacture-ready designs. 📝

I work with clients from the very early stages (sometimes just rough sketches or vague ideas) all the way through to a finished, manufacturable product, and often beyond, with ongoing support and updates once the new products is in production.

This includes concept development, 3D CAD modelling, visualisations and full 2D engineering drawing packs.

2. 3D printing. 🖨️

Whilst most of my design work is focused on industrial manufacturing processes, 3D printing is a useful tool for prototyping or small batch requirements.

I have an in-house 3D printing capability and can advise on the best approach for your specific project. That could be using my own setup or working with one of my specialist print partners.

3. 3D scan services. 🔍

I can use 3D scanning to reverse engineer a part where drawings no longer exist, or inspect a physical component against a CAD model. It’s a fast and accurate way to capture real world geometry for complex shapes.

I start all projects with a free consultation, so I can work out the best way forward or signpost elsewhere if I think it would be a better fit for a customer.
